The Amsterdam Creative Entrepreneurs Collective is a peer-peer community with the aim to create a relaxed, intimate environment in which creative entrepreneurs can share tips, stories, lessons and inspiration. Born as the side-hustle of the Humblebrag and supported by the dream team at YourSpace Amsterdam, we invite brave people doing bold things to tell their story.
Following last month’s “dine and whine” we have now invited three ACE collective speakers to share their story!
Scaling Your Big Idea!
Joseph Anderson, Founder of instagram platform Mighty Scout, will share lessons on going from product to market. Joe recently moved to Amsterdam from San Francisco where he taught designers from Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Pinterest, and Uber how to code.
"Taking your product to market, where someone will pay for it, can be pretty difficult. In this talk I'll try to break it down into a framework that helps you focus your efforts and find your customers. We'll go over turning your idea into mocks, prototypes, a service, a service-product, and finally a product while selling it at every step. As creatives we're used to an iterative process with close communication with our users/customers, I hope to share how similar it can be to getting a product into the hands of customers.
Catalina Gouverneur, Graphic & Visual Designer, will outline how to make your own website to promote your business or products.
"For a lot of creatives and entrepreneurs having a website is important, but unless you’ve got a friend who can guide you through the process it can be a bit daunting, especially if you’ve never made one before. Being empowered with the best tools and frameworks to do it yourself initially is a big part of branding and positioning your idea properly and I think I’ve made enough portfolio websites now for friends and myself to be able to speak with some authority on the topic!"
Kadryine Özkan, Founder of Fiska, a tax advisory consultancy, will share tips for entrepreneurs and freelancers on how to manage their money!
She will share:
~ tips on a money mindset
~ bookkeeping tips
~ insights on investments
~ advice on building financial growth
There will also be plenty of time to connect with other creatives in the room, and as usual, we'll be asking ACE participants to actively engage and share their stories too.
We’ll be serving an 'afternoon tea', including tea & coffee along with a variety of delectable pastries.
This is our last event for 2018 - we hope to see you there!
